Visitors come to Dawn Farm for many reasons - to inquire about services, buy merchandise or eggs, see our animals, visit clients, attend 12-step groups or open meetings, volunteer, etc. Since we are a private treatment center whose primary concern is the welfare of our clients, it is imperative that ALL visitors to any facility check in at the office. Only visitors with legitimate business will be allowed to remain on the premises.
Each program has guidelines for visitors. All visitors that will be interacting with clients must sign in with staff at all sites.
The goal of Dawn Farm is to assist addicts and alcoholics in achieving long term recovery. One of the ways in which Dawn Farm carries out this mission is by identifying and removing barriers that prevent addicts and alcoholics from joining the recovering community. Many of our volunteers, all of our 12 step members and supports are part of the recovering community, that we believe is essential to all of our client's achieving long term recovery.
Visitors who wish to tour our Downtown and Farm residential locations will be escorted by a staff member or senior resident. Visitors at Spera will be escorted by a staff member, not including kitchen volunteers who may be in the kitchen area without direct staff supervision.
Children MUST be supervised by the adult who brought them. Adults who do not supervise their children will be asked to leave.
Alcohol is never allowed on the premises.
