CARF- accredited organizations identify leadership that embraces the values of accountability and responsibility to the organization's stated mission. The leadership demonstrates corporate social responsibility.
As outlined by CARF, Dawn Farm adheres to the following standards pertaining to leadership:
- Dawn Farm identifies its leadership structure and the responsibilities of each level of leadership
- A person centered philosophy is developed, guides services provided, and is communicated in an understandable manner
- Leadership members guide all activities relating to performance improvement, financial and risk management, health and safety, compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, succession planning, strategic planning, and development of policies and procedures.
- The leadership members are accessible to all stakeholders
- The organization implements a cultural competency and diversity plan
- Corporate responsibility efforts including: written ethical codes of conduct and procedures to deal with allegations of ethical violations
- Policies relating to corporate compliance
- Continuing education and training of staff to stay current with evidence-based practices
- Written policies and procedures are in place for accepting and soliciting of donations and volunteers
