CONTRIBUTION TO MISSION & CONTINUUM OF CARE
The goal of Dawn Farm is to remove the barriers that people with addictions face to entering into recovery. The Human Resource Generalist at Dawn Farm furthers this mission by providing a wide range of HR and payroll support. Dawn Farm’s Human Resource Generalist plays a key role in the success of the organization by offering guidance on recruitment, terminations, performance management, employee relations and best practices for Human Resources.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Becomes familiar with relevant procedures and policies of the department and agency
Assures all new hire paperwork is received and complete
Performs background checks in the iChat system
Performs driver checks through our insurance agency
Administers employee benefits such as STD, LTD, workers’ compensation, health insurance and unemployment claims, as needed
Maintains personnel files
Develops policies and procedures to streamline agency hiring
Performs all functions of the payroll cycle
Facilitates annual workers compensation audit
Maintains retention records for finance and human resources files
Serves as Recipient Rights Advisor for the agency
Experience with spreadsheets, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and payroll software(s)
Serve as the coverage of last resort for the Farm receptionist position
Completes other duties, as requested by Finance/Human Resource Director
Participates in all required trainings, staff inservices, and special events
Assists with training of new staff

Pursues continuing education to improve job knowledge and maintain licensing/certification, as applicable

Able to interact with clients and family members in an empathetic manner while maintaining professional boundaries

CREDENTIALS
Bachelors’ Degree, or a combination of college coursework in Accounting or Business, and experience.
SHRM Certification, or progress toward a SHRM Certification is highly preferable.
CPR certification
RECOVERY
At least eighteen months of continuous sobriety, if in recovery from addiction.
If ever a client in any Dawn Farm program, at least one year since the date of last service.
