Virtual faxing is sending faxes directly from your computer to the recipient's fax number. This can be done by sending the faxes from the printing email account. How do you do this?
Log into the printers email account.
login: printers@dawnfarm.org
password: DFprinters1
To a new email, attach the documents you wish to send. Documents must be in PDF format.
Send the email to: insert fax number@send.myfax.com (eg. 123456789@send.myfax.com)
The fax will include an automatic cover sheet. The cover sheet "Re" line will be the subject of the email.
The recipient's name, company name and any message should be typed in the body of the email and will appear on the cover page.
Send the email. A confirmation will be returned to the email inbox once the fax has successfully completed.
How to Scan and Send Faxes From Printers
Place pages face up in the scanner feed tray on the top of the printer. It is best to include a Dawn Farm cover page.
Press the "Scanner" button on the screen.
Press the "Manual Entry" button
Enter your recipient's fax number (with 1+ area code) followed by @send.myfax.com (323-123-4567 would be 13231234567@send.myfax.com). Press "Ok".
Press "Start". A confirmation page will be sent to the staff designated to receive faxes at your location (see below).
How to Receive Faxes
Someone sends a fax to your number. (The fax numbers for each location have not changed.)
Your fax arrives as an email from MyFax to the staff designated to receive faxes at your location. That person will then forward the email to you.
When you open the email, the fax will be attached (as a PDF or TIFF document). You can now read, save, print, forward or upload to Apricot.
The designated staff to receive faxes for each location have been chosen by the coordinators for those locations as follows:
Farm: Keri and Stacy
DFD: Cassie and Amber
Spera: All Spera staff
Outpatient: All OP staff
Intake: All intake staff
