CONTRIBUTION TO MISSION & CONTINUUM OF CARE
The goal of Dawn Farm is to remove the barriers that people with addictions face to entering into recovery. The Spera Coordinator at Dawn Farm furthers this mission by overseeing programming of the Spera Recovery Center.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitors admissions waitlist and reviews records for clients that need psychiatric clearance
- Reviews and oversees treatment activities, including didactic group materials, individualized recovery plans, and continuing care plans
- Develops and maintains working relationships with various community agencies, such as hospitals, police, or other treatment centers
- Performs routine Spera Recovery Center functions, including admissions, monitoring vital signs, providing referral services, cooking meals, and answering phones
- Provides crisis intervention services
- Refers and proactively connects clients to other social services, as needed
- Maintains complete record of client's treatment
- Administers substance testing throughout course of treatment
- Monitors funding for treatment services (self pay record, public-funding, etc)
- Coordinates with family members for support and family therapy, as appropriate
- Evaluates progress of treatment goals and adapts treatment, as needed
- Acts as the assigned Medical Designee in absence of Medical Director
- Maintain staff schedule
PROGRAM COORDINATOR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops programming for the Spera Recovery Center in consultation with Clinical Director and President
- Provides 24/7 on-call support for Spera
- Hires and oversees training of new Spera Counselors and interns
- Provides regular supervision, facilitates regularly scheduled staff meetings, and completes annual evaluations for Spera Counselors and interns
- Acts as part of the Dawn Farm administrative team by participating in admin meetings and activities
- Compiles and maintains program data and other information for program evaluation
- Oversees compliance with licensing, accreditation, and contract requirements, as applicable, in consultation with Project Manager
- Addresses complaints, as needed
- Maintains relationships with other community providers
- Participates in all required trainings, staff inservices, and special events
- Completes other duties, as requested by Clinical Director or President
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

- Integrates Dawn Farm mission and core values into daily functions
- Familiar with recovery principles and the philosophy and practice of 12-step recovery
- Pursues continuing education to improve job knowledge and maintain licensing/certification, as applicable
- Able to interact with a wide variety of people in a cordial, professional manner, both independently and as part of a team
- Able to interact with clients and family members in an empathetic manner while maintaining professional boundaries
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
CREDENTIALS
- Master’s degree from an accredited program in social work or a related field (per LARA: “a licensed counselor, LMSW, or licensed psychologist”)
- CAADC or plan for certification
- CCS or plan for certification
- CPR Certification
RECOVERY
- At least eighteen months of continuous sobriety, if in recovery from addiction.
- If ever a client in any Dawn Farm program, at least one year since the date of last service.
