Goal - why is this important to us?
Supervision is an essential part of providing services to clients at Dawn Farm. Supervision allows for problem solving of difficult cases as well as personal growth in the field.
Each Program Coordinator will ensure that supervision is available to their staff as needed or (required by licensing guidelines).

Supervision is provided in the following forms at all Dawn Farm sites:
- Our clinical staff receive their clinical supervision from their supervisor.
- Staff meetings are held on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and provide case review and clinical support.
- Program coordinators participate in monthly administrative meetings.
- Case file review is conducted on a quarterly basis. See “Assuring Program Quality” for details. Results of case file reviews are reported at quarterly administrative QA meetings.
- Supervisors are expected to maintain an “open door”, making themselves available to s and any Dawn Farm staff, as needed.
- Interns will be provided supervision as required by their educational agreement.
- All employees receive an annual performance evaluation from their supervisor.
- Employees needing supervision to obtain or maintain a license or certification will receive supervision as required by the relevant standards. If it is not available within Dawn Farm, Dawn Farm will support the employee in obtaining it externally.
- Supervisors routinely review and sign off on clinical documentation. The documentation that is signed varies by site.
Follow-up - what loose ends do I need to wrap up?
Keep documentation of things you have discussed during supervision in case it is needed for licensing requirements.
