CONTRIBUTION TO MISSION & CONTINUUM OF CARE
The goal of Dawn Farm is to remove the barriers that people with addictions face to entering into recovery. The Communications Director position at Dawn Farm furthers this mission through strategic marketing, communications, and fundraising that aims to serve those who may not otherwise have access to care as well as major donors who make treatment possible for indigent clients. The Communications Director works directly with the President.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic marketing of our programs including radio, social media, online, newspaper, etc.
Communication with potential referral sources
Creating clear website, email, print, and social media content for prospective clients, family, volunteers, and donors
Marketing of all educational and fundraising events
Relationship-building with major donors and foundations
Encouraging Board engagement in development and volunteering
Promoting green/environmentally conscious initiatives at the Farm
Supervision of Development Director and support in all development efforts as needed
Working with Development DIrector to create annual strategic fundraising plan
Completes other job duties as requested by the President
Participates in all required trainings, staff inservices, and special events

ALL DAWN FARM EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES
Integrates Dawn Farm mission and core values into daily functions
Familiar with recovery principles and the philosophy and practice of 12-step recovery
Pursues continuing education to improve job knowledge and maintain licensing/certification, as applicable
Able to interact with a wide variety of people in a cordial, professional manner, both independently and as part of a team
Able to interact with clients and family members in an empathetic manner while maintaining professional boundaries
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises Development Director
CREDENTIALS
3 years minimum experience in non-profit/office environment
Experience with event management, database management, communications, marketing or related field strongly preferred
RECOVERY
At least eighteen months of continuous sobriety, if in recovery from addiction
If ever a client in any Dawn Farm program, at least one year since the date of last service
